What can I make selling Avon and where do I get the tools I need to get started???
Avon wants our Representatives to succeed by offering a no-barrier earnings opportunity to support themselves and their families. We support each Representative in her efforts to achieve success and empower her to be self-sufficient by earning an income. The company's direct-selling model offers a low cost of entry, a wide range of training and development opportunities, management support, and digital direct selling tools that enable Representatives to manage and grow their businesses as never before.
All it takes to become a Representative and launch a business is the nominal cost of an appointment fee. These fees vary for each country according to the local economic standards in the majority of countries in which we operate. For example, in the United States, the appointment fee can be as low as $15.00, and in the Philippines it is equivalent to U.S. $1.50.
Once appointed, a Representative has flexibility over her schedule and is her own boss, setting the parameters and goals for her business. For some Representatives, selling Avon is a full-time business. Others (like me) sell Avon to supplement income from a full-time job, or for a set period of time to achieve a certain financial goal, such as a child's college tuition, or a family vacation. In virtually every market, credit-eligible Representatives generally do not pay Avon until their customers pay them directly, meaning a Representative does not have to make a cash outlay to cover the cost of her customers' orders. Place your order, delivery the products and collect the money, then pay Avon the cost of the products with your next order! You keep the rest! That's how we get paid each campaign.
Our business model enables many women, who otherwise might not have access to credit, to pursue and attain their personal financial goals.
Training for Success
Now let's talk about how to be successful in direct sales with or without experience. Avon offers numerous training opportunities for Representatives, including an online training at Avon University available on yourAvon.com, the intranet site used by Representatives to manage their business. This eLearning program offers more than 100 round-the-clock, FREE, self-paced training courses on subjects including: building your sales, building your team, managing your business, marketing your business, as well as a specific curriculum for new Representatives. My favorite was "Avon Anew Skin Care Specialist". This training helped me provide information to customers about their skin care needs while building my skin care business. So whether you are an experienced sales person/business owner or a stay at home mom that wants to help with household expenses, Avon has the training for you to be successful.
